Flavor Profile: Chocolaty, toffee, and nutty flavors.
Guatemala is the 10th largest coffee producer in the world and second only to Colombia when it comes to the percentage of specialty-grade beans produced there.
Most coffee is grown on the slopes of Volcan Acatenango near the Antigua district at high altitudes (5,000 - 6,000 feet). The rich volcanic soil gives the beans a heavy body and makes a lively cup of java with subtle smoky spicy overtones and a superb, sweet finish.
